Andrew Carter- STS-126
STS-126 was a space shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) flown by Space Shuttle Endeavor. The purpose of the mission, referred to as ULF2 by the ISS program, was to deliver equipment and supplies to the station, to service the Solar Alpha Rotary Joints (SARJ), and repair the problem in the starboard SARJ that had limited its use since STS-20. STS-126 launched on November 14, 2008 at 7:55:39 p.m. EST from launch pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center with no delays or issues. Endeavour successfully docked with the station on November 16. After spending 11 days, 16 hours, and 46 minutes docked to the station, during which the crew performed four spacewalks, and transferred cargo, the orbiter undocked on November 28. Due to poor weather at Kennedy Space Center, Endeavour landed at Edwards Airforce Base on November 30, at 21:25 UTC (1:25 p.m. PST). (Source)

New approach… Glass frame for protection, on hinges and spaced from box to allow air flow and maintenance. Ajuga reptans this time. Tried cork trim but it needs some power tool work. I know the frame is a little homely, but the whole piece is pretty attractive in person. Mainly another test to make sure it works… and it does! I have to stop cutting wood/materials by hand… You should see the dirt and cuts all over these pups.

Eventually I will name this segment something more relevant. Here’s a few new desktop pieces I finished today. The soil stays in the frame and I’m going to finish treating the wood another day. Watering is easy, though the soil is good and they are drought tolerant varieties allowing them to be the perfect abusable office decoration. If you want one, let me know.
